Rogue Element Tactical Dead Rag (aka the RagPull)

I was introducted to the Tactical Dead Rag (AKA The RagPull) from Rouge Element by our good friend Jonathan Higgs of Airsoftology.

Playing Airsoft, one of the worst feelings is to shoot someone that is out but their red dead rag has fallen off, or getting repeatidly shot because your dead rag keeps falling off your head.  Rouge Element’s RagPull goes a long way in solving those two problems. First, the red square is very large and made of a rip-stop type material that will not snag or get caught on trees or other types of vegatation.  Second, they have added a 14 inch Velcro “Tail” with a paracord end for easy deployment, and because the tail is made from Velcro, you can attach it to your helmet, the Velcro on your Combat Shirt or BDU Top, or you can wrap the  tail around your wirst or Airsoft weapon to identify yourself as out.

The RagPull rolls up into a super small package that can fit into the palm of your hand and can quickly be deployed once hit. For the Airsoft field, at $12, this is a great item to grab and use at all of your games.

Outside of Airsoft, I see several other uses for the RagPull. If you are hiking in the woods or mountains, and get stranded or lost.  You can deploy the RagPull a a signal marker to help identify your location from the air or from a distance. The maker of the RagPull, Rouge Element, is thinking of using Hi-Viz Yellow or Safety Orange for just this purpose. What do you think?
