Dynamic Solution’s Stealth Eye
TGL was lucky enough to recruit our good friend Bob Russel for another review. This time, he looks at Dynamic Solution LLC’s Stealth Eye.
Once again, my good friend Eric from TheGearLocker.net gave me a new piece of gear to try out. Today, it was a mesh scope cover called The Stealth Eye, made by Dynamic Solutions, LLC. The material used is similar to the mesh you would find military laundry bags made out of. One end of the Stealth Eye is open allowing you to slide it over your scope or optic set up depending on your mission for the day be it on the range, hunting or taking covert photos. The shock cord draw allows for a good and tight fit around a small or medium sized optic.
I had taken a Lupold scope and placed it facing me at 100 yards, the ruby coating of the scope stood out too me at this range. Once I placed the Stealth Eye over the end, the ruby coating was not visible to the naked eye. One of the concerns I had with the Stealth Eye was that the sight picture would be distorted because of the mesh. On the 1.5 power there was minor distortion, almost any skilled shooter could engage a target with that amount of distortion but once I moved the power up to two, the power of the optics looked right through the mesh and a clear picture was present.
This is a good piece of gear if you are doing a Military Simulation in a day where there is a lot of sun light or if you are simply trying to get close to wild life I suggest this item for you.
