Right before TGL left for the Airsoft Event, Operation Lightning Strike, we received a pair of SpecOpShop’s I.C.R.S. Combat Gloves for review. We were very excited to check them out and to see how they preformed in an AO that was going to be a giant industrial site.

When they arrived, I was excited to see the hard knuckle protection and the thumb and index finger can be exposed to give you a better feel on the trigger or to manipulate a weapon light or laser.

The gloves had a very short break-in period and the combination of a leather and Kevlar conformed to my hands very well. For gloves that appear to be very thick, you would think they would be hot. But, that is not the case. During the two days at the event, my hands never felt hot or sweaty, and we had temps in the 70s and 80s with 70% humidity.
Manipulating the Airsoft rifle was easy to do with both the fingers covered and exposed. As the day went on, the gloves felt better and better.
If you are looking for a solid pair of gloves that allow you to have your thumb and index finger exposed when you need to, I would suggest checking these out.
